Note on warnings: I will always warn for major issues like rape, character-death, and underage sex - not that I write those things very often at all. I will always warn for violence to animals. Potentially upsetting things that I'm NOT likely to warn for are drinking, minor drug use and puking. However, if you have any concerns that a specific issue that's triggering to you might be in one of my stories, please feel free to contact me and ask me about it. I promise that I'll answer your question in a respectful manner.

JDM - sitting waiting wishing
Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] zortified:

Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences from or about it.

Supernatural, CWRPF, Hawaii Five-0, White Collar
H50 - Danny
Title: The Comforts of Home
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG
Pairing: Steve/Danny
Warnings: none
Word count: 1,523
Spoilers: 2x10
Summary: What do you see, when you close your eyes and think about home?

Notes: This was written for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_flashfic Comfort challenge, also the Amnesty challenge, since I was too late for the main Comfort challenge. The link takes you over there for reading.

~~~
( For many, many months after he moved to Hawaii, long after the house in New Jersey had been sold, the image of home in his head was still that brick Cape Cod, small and cozy with a postage-stamp sized yard that was always full of dandelions. )
White Collar - Neal b&w
Title: I Will Not Eat The Darkness
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG
Characters: Neal, Peter & El - gen
Word count: 10,360
Spoilers: 3x10
Warnings: Nothing major. Highlight for possible trigger warning. Discussion/description of (unintentional) weight loss.
Summary: In the aftermath of El's abduction and the months of worry and indecision that came before, Neal finds himself alone and increasingly ill while Peter struggles to balance his anger and concern.
Notes: Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] dotfic for the beta and to Over The Rhine for the title. This is my first foray into writing White Collar fic, and it was written for [livejournal.com profile] kriadydragon's prompts (a combo of the first two) at [livejournal.com profile] collarcorner.
Neal's new home away from home was a small room with no windows, just a desk, a chair and many, many boxes. The file boxes were stacked six-high, and there was just enough room for Neal to sidle between the rows to get in and out of the room. It was better than a jail cell, especially considering that he got to go home to his rooms at June's house in the evening, but sometimes he felt like he'd been sentenced to solitary confinement. )
Castiel - ragged
I've been listening to some music and this song just struck me as perfectly Dean/Cas even if it's not particularly my pairing. Who Will Guard The Door by Over the Rhine.
You were the hand that I tried to take
You're the decision that I could not make
You're the religion that I should forsake
You were the story I tried to tell
You were the savior that tripped and fell
Beautiful dancing infidel
Who will guard the door when I am sleeping
Who will guard the door when I am sleeping
I'm not sleeping
You were the season that would not change
I often was the same
Then four horseman came and stole my name
I never saw you fall apart
I never saw you work so hard
Never saw you need no one
I am my father's son
Bonus song: Drunkard's Prayer, which I uploaded by accident.
H50 - Team
Title: Just a Flesh Wound (or not)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Steve, Danny & Team gen
Word count: 2,800
Summary: A small injury turns into a big problem for Steve.
Notes: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] sgflutegirl for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_exchange and beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] zortified. Originally posted here.
~~~

When a piece of rusty metal sliced through his neoprene bootie and into the side of his foot as he boarded the boat, it wasn't even a concern. He flicked it aside like the mental equivalent of a fruit fly and kept his focus on the objective. )
Sam - young
Title: The Secrets You Can't Keep
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG-13
Characters/pairings: Sam & Dean, past Sam/Jess
Word count: 6,914
Summary: Dean knew almost everything about Sam, but after Stanford there was one vitally important thing that Sam neglected to tell Dean. Sam was used to keeping secrets, but keeping this one was a bad idea.

Notes: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] shangrilada's prompt at the [livejournal.com profile] ohsam Fic Challenge. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] nelle816 for looking it over for me.

~~~
The one thing that Jess and his good friends at Stanford — hell, most of his casual friends there — knew about Sam, was the one thing he couldn't quite figure out how to mention to Dean. It's not like it was a big deal. )
H50 - Alex half naked
Title: Rest Your Lovely Bones
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Pairing: Scott/Alex
Word count: 2,360
Rating: R
Warnings: bondage
Disclaimer: This is utterly false.
Summary: During filming of season one, Alex was working too hard so Scott decided to take control of the situation.
Notes: This was written (finally!) for a prompt at the H50 h/c meme and also for the amnesty period at [community profile] kink_bingo. It's perhaps the least hardcore bondage story ever. Title from Over the Rhine's "Let's Spend the Day in Bed."
~~~

It just never ended, and as much as Alex believed in staying behind the plow and pushing through sometimes he just wanted to lay down in the sun and sleep. )

Oh, cats

Tori
One of the things that makes me laugh about life with my cats is that they believe that any kind of can that requires a can opener (I use a manual one) is tuna. So, they hear the plunk of a can on the counter, the rattle of the can opener, and suddenly all three cats are in the kitchen, crying, jumping on the counter, etc. See, when I open a can of tuna, I drain the liquid onto a dinner plate and put it on the floor for all of them to huddle around and lap up. Why waste it, right? When I open something other than tuna, which is always something they have no interest in like beans or diced tomatoes or (as it was today) pumpkin, I have to show them. I hold the can out for them to smell, and then they walk away. Cats: they require proof.

a pic of the sharing tuna juice that I tweeted months ago )
Dean & Sam - wrestling
Title: Watching Over
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG
Warning: none
Characters: Sam & Dean
Word count: 1,104
Summary: Sam just wants to make sure Dean doesn’t get any sicker than he already is. If he amuses himself a little at the same time, who can blame him?

Notes: This was written for the Again but with More Colds comment-fic meme. It's loosely a sequel to my pre-series story I Wish Turkey Only Cost a Nickel, but there's no need to read that one first. This story is set vaguely S2-S3.

~~~
Dean needed his rest, but if he woke up while Sam was in the store it was a toss-up whether he'd manage to make it into the store or just wander into traffic. )
Jensen & Jeff - RBB1
Title: The Space Between the Bullets in Our Firefight
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] mysticwaters (Art Masterpost)
Rating: NC-17
Characters/pairing: Jensen/Jeff (background Jensen/other)
Word count: 14,700
Disclaimer: This is entirely false.
Warnings: Nothing extreme. Highlight for specifics: Mentions of racism, xenophobia & homophobia and attempted terrorism. Little actual violence.
Summary: Jensen’s an FBI agent who doesn’t want to let things like love and family get in the way of his ambitions. It takes getting what he wants to figure what he’s been needing all along.
Notes: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang and turned out to be the story that exploded, even if I had to contain the explosion somewhat. ;) Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] kasman for the last minute beta. Title from Dave Matthews Band.
Fucking Morgan. He hadn't seemed like what Jensen expected out of an academy trainer when he strolled into the room where they'd all assembled that first day, looking like he'd just rolled out of bed, sunglasses on his head, hands in his pockets. )
Love meme
H50 - I Heart You
I haven't done one of these in a long while, but I figured why not. [livejournal.com profile] delicatale is hosting a love meme, and my thread is here.
:)
Yuletide
[Yes, I decided I would sign up for Yuletide again. I couldn't help myself!]
Hi! Thank you for signing up for one of my fandoms! Before I get into the specific requests, I should say that I love angst, h/c, schmoop, silliness, and I also love stories that are darker, deeper, creepier, whatever. I love slash, het and gen. I suspect I'll like anything written for these fandoms. One of these requests are recycled from last year, but the rest are new.
Downton Abbey, Sons of Anarchy, Sherlock BBC RPF, Latter Days )
JDM - Bisou!
I've been looking at old WIPs and in the interests of one I'd need to research, I'm wondering if there are any die-hard Dog Whisperer fans out there who'd be able to point me toward an episode that dealt with a dog who was obsessed with food to a dangerous degree (stealing food from people, etc.) from being underfed previously. Or anything similar to that? I've only ever seen one or two eps of the show, but I like the ~1000 words I have on this WIP.
I'm looking through my google docs, and it's like a graveyard of stories half-born. Kind of enticing and depressing at the same time.w
H50 - Steve/Danny
Title: The Perfect Corner
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Steve/Danny (though if you want to read this as BFF gen, that's perfectly valid)
Word count: 600
Summary: Danny has a concussion and just needs everything to be still.
Notes: Written as a snuggly comment-fic for [livejournal.com profile] zortified, and I figured I should post it here before I lost it. ;)
~~~

If he focused on the feeling of the cushions under and behind and next to him, he could almost convince himself that the room was entirely stationary. )
H50 - Danny
I just posted this very silly little ficlet over at [livejournal.com profile] kissemdanno.

Title: Lip Smackers
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG
Word count: 550
Summary: Steve gets home to find that Grace has left her Danno with something special. (established relationship)

( Danny stood just inside with one of Steve's favorite kind of goofy smiles on his face and--what was that? )
Snowflake
This was LOVELY last year, so I'm lad to see it starting up again this year. The wish post is open now.

WWI boys
Short Ode
by Stephen Vincent Benet

It is time to speak of these
Who took the long, strange journey overseas,
Who fell through the air in flames.
Their names are many, I will not name their names
Though some were people I knew;
After some years the ghost itself dies, too,
And that is my son’s picture on the wall
But his girl has been long married and that is all.
They died in mud, they died in camps of the flu.
They are dead. Let us leave it so.
The ones I speak of were not forced, I know.
They were men of my age and country, they were young men
At Belleau, at the seaports, by the Aisne.
They went where their passion took them and are not.
They do not answer mockery or praise.

You may restore the days
They lived beneath and you may well restore
The painted image of that fabled war,
But not those faces, not the living ones
Drowned in the water, blown before the guns
In France or Belgium or the bitter sea
(And the foreign grave is far, and men use the name,
But they did not go for votes or the pay they got
Or the brave memorial speech by the D.A.R)
It is far, the foreign grave. It is very far
And the time is not the same.
But certain things are true
Despite the time, and these were men that I knew,
Sat beside, walked beside,
In the first running of June, in the careless pride.
It is hard to think back, to find them, to see their eyes
And none born since shall see those, and the books are lies,
Being either praise or blame.
But they were in their first youth. It is not the same,
You, who are young, remember that youth dies.
Go, stranger, and to Lacedemon tell,
They were shot and rotted, they fell
Burning on flimsy wings.
And yet it was their thought that they did well.
And yet there are still the tyrants and the kings.

oh, h/c

Dean - okey dokey
It's astonishing how much easier it is for me to write h/c than ANYTHING else. I mean, I struggled to write 3000 words of plotty stuff for RBB and then I wrote 7000 words of sick!Dean like it was nothing. Now, I have multiple story files going. I tried to work on three things tonight. One is completely NOT h/c. One is a smidge h/c but mostly not. The other is sick!Sam for [livejournal.com profile] ohsam's challenge. I barely added anything to the first two and easily wrote a bunch on the third.

I wish it were that easy for me to write plotty or porny stories, I really do.
